Kirk Bol has worked in public health since 1999, beginning as a statistical analyst with Colorado’s central cancer and birth defects registries before completing his Master of Science in Public Health in 2004. He transitioned to vital statistics in 2005 and now manages Colorado’s Vital Statistics Program, overseeing data analysis and dissemination, as well as violent death, drug overdose, and medical aid-in-dying reporting systems. He has also served as an adjunct instructor at the Colorado School of Public Health, teaching courses in surveillance and analytic methods. A long-time NAPHSIS contributor, Kirk has previously served on the Board of Directors and on multiple committees, including the Statistics Committee, USA-LEEP Steering Committee, and Conference Planning Committee.
