Caleb Cox

Board Term: June 2024 - June 2026

Caleb Cox has been with the South Carolina Division of Vital Statistics for over 10 years and a member of NAPHSIS for 5 years. He began as a Customer Service Representative in Vital Records and worked through every level of supervision before being promoted in 2020 to his current role as Director and Assistant State Registrar.

Caleb’s first challenge as director was leading the upgrade of South Carolina’s entire electronic registration and issuance system, a project successfully completed in less than a year. At the 2023 NAPHSIS Annual Meeting, he showcased the system’s enhanced ability to electronically review and approve paternity acknowledgments submitted from hospitals.

Throughout his career in Vital Statistics, Caleb has focused on improving efficiency and the customer experience, championing projects with significant impact in both areas. He has also been an active participant in NAPHSIS committees, including the Model Law Committee, the Systems Interest Group, and the VSCP Contract Committee.
